Celebrating the True Meaning of Christmas at Home

16th Dec 2021

What do we celebrate at Christmas? How do we celebrate Christmas?

At Christmas we celebrate that God came to live among us. The surprising thing is that God chose to enter the world as the smallest of human beings.  When Jesus is born in our lives at Christmas he is born as a baby.  Like any baby he desires to be held – to be loved – to be cared for.  Jesus is lying in the manger with outstretched arms to each one of us asking us to lift him – to hold him – to care for him – to love him.  Our fragile and vulnerable God has put himself at the mercy of our care. Our God said, through the gift of a baby, Jesus, I NEED YOU! When we become aware of his arms outstretched and his eyes looking up at us, it is very hard to pass him by.  It is very hard to ignore him. It is hard not to share the gift of the baby Jesus with others.
