This Christmas, our Foundation and KS1 children will be sharing the spirit of Christmas with residents of our local care homes through a shoebox appeal with a difference.
We are appealing for our P1-4 families to fill a shoe box with items that an elderly person would like to receive. We would suggest items such as; puzzles, crossword books, quiz books, hot chocolate, biscuits, shortbread, warm socks, compression socks, gloves, slippers, scarves, hats, confectionary, stationery, hand creams, lip balms or handmade gifts.
The shoeboxes will be distributed to residents of Culmore Manor and Greenhaw Lodge at the beginning of December so we would ask that you start to bring them into school from Monday onwards.
We would advise that the boxes follow this guide to ensure each resident receives an appropriate gift box:
Primary 1 - Female resident
Primary 2 - Male resident
Primary 3 - Female resident
Primary 4 - Male resident
