From 5th – 9th February Autism NI are holding a Superhero week – to get across the message that being autistic is actually a superpower!
As we have two Autism Specific Classes in Steelstown Primary School we want to join in to help raise awareness of autism in school, at home and in our local community.
On Friday 9th Feb our school will hold a Superhero Dress-Up Day with each pupil coming to school in superhero costume or dressed in brightly coloured clothes. Children are asked to bring in a voluntary £1 donation. We ask that families do not go to huge expense to purchase superhero costumes – homemade cloaks or face paints are just as good!
