N.I water came in to the school to speak to the Eco committee about the importance of cutting down on our use of plastic water bottles. They gave every child in the school a free refillable water bottle.
When discarded, it takes a staggering 450 years for a plastic bottle to break down. Our oceans are getting destroyed by plastic waste. So the message the Eco committee fed back to their classes was:
- Reuse the bottle
- Refill from the tap and save money
- Drink plenty and stay healthy
